I snapped of my 1/2” shower head elbow and needed an extractor. I originally ordered the Superior tool on Amazon, but it was more expensive than this entire set and wouldn’t arrive for over a week. Then I saw a Harbor Freight set for 10 bucks and thought I would go “on the cheap”. Nothing in that set came even close to the right size for shower arm removal (1/2” too small, 3/4” way too big). The largest size in this Nizzco set worked magnificently without any alterations. It comes with a nice case and I also have all of these other sizes for future projects. Well worth the money and I definitely would recommend!
Our shower arm broke off leaving the threads in the water pipe. We went to our local Home Depot and plumbing store to find some sort of extractor without any success. Found these on Amazon and they did the job perfectly in just a matter of seconds! Very well made & did exactly what they are intended for.
There's not much in the way of instructions (I feel like I'm trying to follow a recipe in the kitchen and they'll give you instructions based on the fact that they assume you've had a lot of time baking/cooking. Unfortunately I do not) I'm not a super handy person but I can handle the basics. As I learn new things I carry it forward etc, but I never really had any training with tools etc, so it's always on the go training. And normally as long as there are a lot of instructions it helps. Usually I try and figure it out and then double check with the instructions etc. In this case there are only "three steps" to extracting any screw and since the images are small I'm only 90% sure that I am on the right track and 100% sure that I need glasses :) It did work however, it just took me awhile to figure it out. One of the screws in the side of my swivel chair was loose and it broke because I was lazy and kept putting it off until eventually it just broke. I had a replacement screw but I have no way of getting the broken bolt out. This works rather well. I'm sure the more I use it the better I'll become. but even with limited knowledge it worked.
Took a chance on essential tool screw extracted, had bad luck with other brands needed to remove 3 torches head 8/32 machine screw in a plastic stock that l torqued at 22 inch pounds instead of 10 inch lbs stripped out heads was worried I would never get them! With essential tools extractor removed them on first try. They are top quality hardened steel that should be in everyone’s tool box, I am very pleased with these high quality great value tool!
Really easy to use, honestly hard to review because everyone will have a different experience with how easy/hard getting a screw out will be. but this product really comes in handy for any mechanic or DIYer.
I love how quickly i can swtich it around in my drill, also with the 4 difference sizes i can get most any screw out that has been a huge pain. Highly recommend!
It's packaged well, just wipe off the oil before you use, or keep it on if you don't want it to rust at all
This tool did the job on the first try, the service repair guy told me a few hours earlier he charges minimum $40.00 to just look at my pressure washer to remove the bolt, that was a big No! No! for me, so I got out my tools and in 10 minuets I had the bolt out! I've read many reviews about many different products, many negative reviews not all, are simply are the results of the operator not knowing how to use the product correctly, resulting in a damage tool, job stoppage, or worst, etc. the best thing to do is to educate yourself first, I talked to a person down the street she was complaining about a 1/2 Ton pickup truck that she bought earlier, now she also purchased a 12,000 camping trailer, "her complaint" the truck is no good it won't pull my trailer very good, she was talking negative things about the company that built her truck, I simply told her that your truck was not designed to pull that much weight, there's nothing wrong with your truck, you need a heavier towing truck, simply she just didn't know, but yet she had negative comments about the vehicle, the right tool for the job is very important for best results.

I completely broke off a machine screw that was too big for a unique piece of a furniture set I was putting together. I didn’t even have a stripped head to drill into...just the body of the machine screw that I WAY over-tightened using too strong of a drill setting. I thought it was all over, but this set saved the day. I made sure to watch some YouTube videos on how to do it exactly (reverse drill only, use the threaded end second etc). Had to do the process twice because it came out in pieces (because it was the absolute smallest size that would have worked) but it worked like a charm. I’m impressed.
